PM-KUSUM Scheme: A Complementary Initiative
The PM-KUSUM scheme is a complementary initiative to the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The scheme aims to make solar agricultural pump installations more accessible to farmers. The government plans to create a national portal for solar pump installations, similar to the revamped solar rooftop scheme. Farmers can directly submit their requirements to the vendors through the national registration for solar pumps. This process eliminates the necessity for states to tender the pumps .
Conclusion
The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is a revolutionary scheme that aims to promote the use of renewable energy in India. The scheme offers several benefits to households, including free energy, subsidy, and low-interest loans. The scheme is expected to create around 17 lakh direct jobs and promote the use of clean energy. With the PM-KUSUM scheme as a complementary initiative, the government is taking a holistic approach to promote the use of renewable energy in the country.
